Oh Bother

Walking down the street to the corner in my mind where I'm approached by
Some angry and intimidating thoughts that try to taunt me they torment me
They relentlessly chatter how they prattle on ... Right
Go then sail on off to old Peking and trouble some unsuspecting Chinese man
You're not my thoughts to be troubling me again

And my friend if I ever intended to break you I would and I could have and oh bother

Tear drops rolling down my face like razors pity you're not here to see my suffering
I know you'd be front row just to see me cry

Don't deny I the pleasure the pain brings the clouds in the sky don't ask why, why do I bother

When you meet your maker will you still be sittin' there in that chair of judgment
Well when you count your blessings do give me a call
When heavens reigning down around you be sure to drop a line
But me and my position we'll be fine

Bitter at least it's not a soggy word it's snappy and an awful lot like brittle
Once you break you're sure to never break as easily again

In the end it's a long and a hard road but paved with the best of intensions
I'll see you in hell lover
What's that curse better or for worse well I've seen your worst and you've felt my curse
If you need to blame you know my name and you've got your share cause I placed it there
Though they testify you're the perfect guy but your friends all lie 'cause they watched us die you walked on by and you didn't dare try and you don't ask why and

Oh Bother
